To start off right, these little slippers simply decorated with a nice button will set the tone. Presented in the March 2010 issue of, they are fully knitted in garter stitch.

Supplies
Phildar knitting yarn, "Cabotine" quality (55% cotton, 45% acrylic): 1 pel. collar. Pistachio, 1 pel. collar. Savanna (or the remnants of the sweater or combination)
Aig. No. 2,5 and No. 3. 2 buttons
Points used
Garter stitch: tric. always at the end.
Double overcasting: 1 m. slipped, 2 m. together end. on which we rab. the m. swiped.
Production
The slippers are tric. in one piece comm. by the sole.
Go up 27 m. Pistachio, ea. # 3. Tric. in garter stitch:
2nd row: 1 st, 1 st, 12 st, 1 increase, 1 st, 1 increase, 12 st, 1 increase, 1 st = 31 st.
4th row: 2 sts., 1 increase, 12 sts., 1 increase, 3 sts., 1 increase, 12 sts., 1 increase, 2 sts. = 35 m.
6th row: 3 sts., 1 increase, 12 sts., 1 increase, 5 sts., 1 increase, 12 sts., 1 increase, 3 sts. = 39 m.
7th row: 4 sts., 1 inc., 12 sts., 1 inc., 7 sts., 1 inc., 12 sts., 1 sts., 4 sts. = 43 m.
For the top. foot, knit. 10 right rows.
For the top of the foot trav. thus: 16 meters, 2 meters. overall, 2 sts., 1 double overcast, 2 sts., 2 sts. together, 16 m. = 39 m.
Tric. 1 row then: 15 sts., 2 sts. overall, 1 st., 1 double seam, 1 st., 2 sts. together, 15 m. = 35 m.
Tric. 1 row then: 14 sts., 2 sts. together, 1 double seam, 2 m. together, 14 m. = 31 m.
Tric. 1 row then: 12 sts., 2 sts. together, 1 double seam, 2 m. together, 12 m. = 27 m.
Tric. 1 rg Savannah and rab. to the next rg.
Fold the slipper to close the sole and the heel. Sew a button on the top.
